Tooling & Vector Prepress Engineering Notes

1. Superplastic Flow Stress Equation: At superplastic temperatures (880–925°C for titanium), flow stress obeys $\sigma = K \cdot \dot{\varepsilon}^m$. Maintaining high strain-rate sensitivity $m \ge 0.5$ permits 300–1000% tensile elongation without necking.

2. Diffusion Bonding (DB) Stage: Before argon gas inflation, solid-state atomic diffusion bonds mating sheets under 3.0–5.0 MPa press clamping at 900°C for 90–180 minutes in high vacuum ($10^{-4}\text{ mbar}$).

3. Yttria Stop-Off Silk Screen DXF: Screen-printed Yttria ($Y_2O_3$) or Boron Nitride stop-off ink patterns prevent diffusion bonding where internal hollow expansion ribs and gas inflation channels are required.
